CEAT Classic Autorickshaw Rally 2007

If the Classic Rally of 2006 proved just one thing, it’s that the 2007 Rally is going to be even wilder! Last year adventure tourists and enthusiastic participants tested their endurance, navigating skills, and auto rickshaws to the limit for a one-of-a-kind trophy. And now it's time once again - only now it’s twice as unpredictable, twice the fun and many, many times the adventure. This rally is going to take everything that made last years great, and take the scale up to a whole new level!

Last year the participants set out in 16 auto rickshaws from Besant Nagar Beach, Chennai, after the inaugural opening of the annual event on the 21st of August. They then rode, scrambled and bounced over 1000 kilometres, crossing 12 districts and 1 Union territory. Each team completed daily stretches of up to 200 kilometres navigating major obstacles both human and natural. Each stage of the rally was opened by a prominent personality, including regional celebrities, and several stops featured wild and unforgettable parties! This time there are going to be well over 100 participants – this amazing race is going to be five times the scale the last one was able to reach. The atmosphere of the adventure and party-time along these beautiful, challenging routes is going to be truly amazing!
